A men’s health fair on the Downtown Eastside attracted 150 participants Thursday to be tested for oral cancers, depression, sexually transmitted infections or prostate disease. The third such event by the DUDES Club — short for the Downtown Urban Knights Defending Equality and Solidarity — generated a lineup down the 400-block of East Hastings as men registered to visit various health professionals inside. (The barbecue likely played a role in the turnout, too.)
